Brain or Burpees is a party trivia game. You can play without an account (sign-in is optional). We collect as little as possible and never sell your data, run ads, or use third-party trackers.
What we collect
The nickname and emoji you pick, your in-game activity (answers, scores, streaks, forfeits completed), and your game settings (language, the location preset such as Home or Gym, and intensity). The location preset is a gameplay choice, not your real-world location. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, GPS location, contacts, or photos.
How you're identified
By a random token stored on your own device, not by any personal identity. Clearing the app's storage discards it.
AI-generated questions
When a host requests a custom topic, that topic text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate questions. No personal data is included. Generated packs are cached and reused.
Exercise demonstrations
Forfeit exercises show licensed demonstration GIFs served only inside the app.
Camera (No-Cheat mode)
If you turn on No-Cheat mode, your device camera is used only on your own device to count exercise reps via on-device pose detection. The video is never recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere — it stays in your phone's memory and is discarded as you go. You can use honor mode (a manual "Done") instead at any time.
Accounts & sign-in (optional)
You can play entirely without an account. If you choose to sign in by an email magic link to save your stats, we store your email address and a display name through Supabase Auth. You can sign out any time, and you can delete your account and its data from your account page.
How long we keep it
Game rooms expire automatically after about two hours of inactivity and are deleted within roughly a day. Solo sessions are deleted after about a week. Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union.
Children
The game is family-friendly but is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
Because there is no account, the simplest way to remove your data is to leave a room (it expires on its own) or clear the app's storage. For any request, contact us below.
